Cunha traditionally participates in the San Mateo County Outdoor Education program open to all 6th graders. This wonderful nature experience begins on Monday morning and ends about noon on Friday. This has been one of the highlights of the middle school years, and we hope that as many students as possible will attend. A parent informational meeting provides more details about the experience and other issues. The cost of attending is $595.00, which is a Voluntary Donation--no one will be turned away for lack of funds. However, there is a cap on the number of students, so apply quickly!

The San Mateo County Office of Education, in cooperation with local schools and the San Francisco YMCA Camp at Jones Gulch, conducts our award-winning environmental education program. This site introduces you to our program and our goals as well as the information you will need before your week at Outdoor Education. During a week at Outdoor Education, students learn about
the natural world, explore the forest and beach ecosystems, and work together as a community. Each year, over 5,000 students and hundreds of teachers and cabin leaders join our enthusiastic staff to experience the magic of nature.
